It took many U-turns and forks in the road until Stasia finally arrived at her most dreamed of destination, when in the fall of 2014, her first novel, No Time to Cry, was released at New Orleans’ Undead Con.
It’s been a winding and adventurous journey thus far. She was a model for about a week, then a candy maker at Disneyland, before landing herself in a cubicle where she learned that a novel could be written almost entirely on post-its! She earned an “almost” degree in fashion design and costuming, and then earned an “almost” living designing plush toys and historical clothing reproductions for costume enthusiasts and vampires. She then went and created a wee little human! All the while she was writing and scribbling and jotting hundreds of thousands of words of every sort that all finally fell into place to turn her into the Creatrix of Dark Fantasy and Light Horror that she is today.
We really think readers who enjoy authors like V.E. Schwab will become avid fans of Morineaux and her debut dark fantasy.
